Experimental design laboratory,
creative thinking and creation
KEGA No. 006TU Z-4/2023
The KEGA project, aimed at creating an experimental design laboratory for creative thinking and creation, has brought a unique space for the development of students, teachers and practitioners. The laboratory serves as a platform for exploring innovative approaches in the field of furniture and interior design using modern technologies such as 3D printing, virtual reality or rapid prototyping of models and concepts. The design and implementation of interior design itself contributes to the creation of a pleasant study and work environment for users and enables the introduction of innovative methods into the education of designers. As part of the project, a new elective subject was created, international workshops and seminars were held, and a number of designs and projects were created and consulted. The laboratory has become a place of interdisciplinary connection of art, technology and practice. The benefit lies not only in the development of creative skills and teamwork, but is also realistically reflected in concrete outputs, such as original exhibited and protected designs, professional and popularization videos for the needs of specific activities and social networks, conferences and media outputs. Even during its short existence, it was successfully promoted, which increased awareness of its importance for modern education and practice. The project results show the potential of design as a tool for solving current social and technological challenges.
