ARTISTIC GEOMETRY
student professional seminars in the form of workshops
Since 2013, I have been regularly co-organizing a two-day workshop for students of the design department in cooperation with Ing. D. Lizoňová, ArtD. from the Department of Mathematics and Descriptive Geometry. The workshops are intended for second-year students and are focused on understanding the geometric rules (golden ratio, straight-line surfaces, curves, tessellations, Fibbonaci sequence, golden ratio spiral, Vorobyov pattern, etc.) that surround us and are part of the work of designers, architects, and artists. The seminar is also focused on understanding the genius of living and inanimate nature, which, in connection with the laws of physics and mathematics, is governed by these geometric rules, and at the same time these ingenious forms easily become a source of inspiration in art in general. A collection of learning materials is always prepared from the workshops, along with a catalog of student outputs.
BIOMIMICRY WORKSHOPY
Since I have been actively involved in Biomimicry since 2015, I have gradually participated in Biomimicry workshops from the role of a trainee to the role of a trainer. I currently co-organize workshops in the field of Biomimicry together with Prof. Regina Rowland - a biomimicry specialist working in Austria. I participate in workshops as a co-facilitator, where I take design students who are interested in expanding their portfolio with this experience into international interdisciplinary teams.
